Ray Galardi is a murderer featured in Season 3. He is a licensed contractor and construction owner who was slapped with a class action lawsuit by Steve Marriot of E.G.G. over building on ground inhabited by a rare species of snakes, the Alameda whipsnake. Ray then called Steve to his construction site and offered him a bribe, but Steve wouldn't budge, so Ray killed him, using a small lead pipe. He then loaded Steve's body into his Volkswagen, loaded Steve's car into the back of his dump truck, sped up on the 101 until there was no one in sight of him, and dumped Steve's car onto the 101, making it look like Marriot died in a car accident. Before hand, while Ray was loading Steve into the car, Steve's phone fell off and Ray accidently put his phone on Steve, seeing how they had identical phones. He soon realized it when the phone rang and it was for Steve Marriot. He returned back to the scene of the accident to swap back the phones only to see the California Highway Patrol quarantining the scene of the crime. In order to even get close, he lured a paramedic away, killed him, and stole his uniform. However, he was directed by Sgt. Parnell to follow Garrett Price to treat Natalie's wrist injury. Monk, who suspected the car accident to be murder from the start, caught onto Galardi. Monk then confronted Galardi at Steve's vehicle only to be detained by the Highway Patrol. Galardi failed to get the phone on time as it was being taken to the morgue by the coroner's so Steve jumped into his dump truck to tail the coroner's van only to be pursued by Monk and Parnell. He was immediately stopped on the road and arrested by the Highway Patrol.
