Natasia Lovara is a murderer featured in Season 2. She is a Romani Gypsy acrobat who has a motive to murder her ex-husband, Sergei Cluvarias. However, she had a broken angle, in which people believed was from a fall during a show. She didn't seek medical attention citing her Gypsy beliefs about using Western Medicine. After Sergei was killed, she had her foot crushed by the Circus elephant, Dede, so that when Adrian Monk and the SFPD requested proof that she couldn't walk, she obliged them with an X-ray. Later, Edgar Heinz, the elephant trainer revealed that he saw her with Dede, and rather than demand a bribe, he revealed he had an affection for her. She later placed a walkie-talkie behind Dede's ear and when Edgar was showing a demonstration with Monk and Sharona, Natasia ordered Dede to crush Edgar's head, in which she did kill him. The walkie-talkie was later discovered by the police. Knowing that she was smart enough to not leave fingerprints on the walkie-talkies, Adrian pointed out the walkie-talkies were brand new, pointing out the flaw in forgetting to wipe down the batteries. She attempted to escape, jumped into her vehicle, and almost ran over Sharona, however, Dede blocked Natasia's escape route. Natasia was arrested for double homicide.
