Little Monk was a webseries spin-off of Monk that aired on the USA Network's website from August 21 through November 6, 2009. It followed the adventures of a young Adrian and Ambrose Monk at their middle school, solving various mysteries and doing typical childhood activities. It starred Aaron Linker as Adrian and Chris Lizardi as Ambrose, along with a pre-Shake It Up Bella Thorne as their friend Wendy. All episodes were directed by recurring Monk director Randall Zisk, with various members of the writing staff contributing. The series was commissioned to coincide with the final season of Monk, and was part of a sponsorship deal with Sleep Inn.[1]

- The series is currently only officially available on the Best of Monk DVD, although fan-uploads of the episodes can be found online. The first half of the series was made available on the Season 6 blu-ray set released by Kino Lorber. The second half of the series will be on the Season 7 set.
- The Season 5 episode "Mr. Monk and Little Monk" appears to have been a loose inspiration for this series, although none of the child actors from that episode reprised their roles.
- A few of the child actors also made appearances throughout Season 8: Uriah Shelton appears in "Mr. Monk Goes Camping" as Nicky Phillips while David Gore appears as Petey Cunningham in "Mr. Monk and the Voodoo Curse." Only Aaron Linker appeared on the parent show as the same character, reprising his role as Little Monk in a flashback for "Happy Birthday, Mr. Monk."
