Lester Highsmith is a murderer featured in Season 3. He is a robber known to stage armored heists. He and his ex-wife, Marlene, robbed an armored car in Cincinnati where he murdered a guard in cold blood. Later, in San Francisco, he is divorced and his suicidal ex tells him about the note before taking her life. Since the police blocked off the route to her apartment, he decided to make diversion by creating a police shooting, in other words, shooting Stottlemeyer during an arrest. While he and Scat carried out the heist in San Francisco as planned, he and Scat were immediately surrounded by Monk and the SFPD and arrested.
