Joey Kazarinsky was a professional hitman who poisoned Adrian Monk on 15 December 2009 in the episode "Mr. Monk and the End (Part One).
Character Biography[]
He was hired to kill Monk from his employer, who in return would give a bonus for killing Monk. Kazarinsky also killed Dr. Malcolm Nash, the director of the Palgrove Birthing Center.
He planned the operation with Ethan Rickover by poisoning a pack of wipes at the supermarket where Natalie Teeger was shopping with a ricin-based synthetic toxin. Before he could be arrested, Kazarinsky was killed when he was struck by a freight train.
Even though he did not appear in Mr. Monk and the End (Part Two), his actions had lingering effects as it nearly resulted in the deaths of both Adrian and Natalie. Fortunately, doctors managed to find the antidote to the poison and save both of them after Natalie realized the wipes were what had been poisoned.
