Hal Duncan was one of the actors in the play in the episode Mr. Monk Goes to the Theater. He was thought to have been murdered by Gail because they thought she stabbed him but he actually died from an allergic reaction, primarily due to Jenna Ryan spraying peanut oil on the prop apples, and was then stabbed by Jenna's father who pretended to be a doctor at the scene.
