Douglas Thurman was a photographer and serial killer who killed women he took pictures of. He was responsible for the deaths of Cassandre Rank, Barbara McFarland, and Miranda Terhume. After failing to show up for a polygraph test, Thurman's studio was raided with no sign of him there. He was tracked down to a motel where he shot himself rather than surrender to police. A fourth victim, Kate Kindel, was also thought to have been killed by him, but it was actually a ploy by James Novak.
