Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer whose career spans almost sixty years. Cooper is considered by many to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock". He has drawn equally from horror films, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a macabre and theatrical brand of rock designed to shock audiences.
Role in Monk[]
Monk sees a poster for one of his concerts during a garbage strike in San Francisco and, in a state of delirium brought on from the strike, decides that Cooper has murdered Jimmy Cusack for his antique chair. According to Monk, rock stars are famous for collecting antique chairs, and he brings his "here's what happened" segment for a second time to everyone's bemusement. Later, Monk realizes he wasn't thinking clearly.
